“Biodiversity: A Driving Force for Pharmaceutical Industry Sustainability”
Wafaa Eltayeb is a professor in the Microbiology Department at Faculty of Pharmacy, Misr International University since 2011. She served as acting head of Microbiology and Immunology Department, at Al-Azhar University (2000-2003) then the acting Head of Microbiology Department at Misr International University (2003-2005).
The BSc and MSc were in pharmaceutical sciences from Faculty of Pharmacy, Cairo University, driving her passion to pharmaceutical microbiology research. Afterwards she awarded her PhD from Al-Azhar University in 1999. The research disciplines were diverse in radiation sterilization, antimicrobial resistance and discovery of novel antimicrobial agents. Her passion in research was since her childhood being raised by a father who was awarded a PhD in metallurgy from Stanford University.
